What if someone only wants tutoring next year but they've requested me now?

Written by Daphne Lim - Updated

Sometimes some keen bean 🫘 parents and students will request you early, and only want tutoring the following year. Here are your options:

If you're happy to accept the student for next year

  1. Reach out to them and follow the process of making first contact.
  2. We recommend running a study skills consultation as soon as possible to make sure the student and parent know you're committed to tutoring them next year.
  3. Then, all you need to do is update the student in your KIS App. Select a "First lesson date" well into the future as close to the predicted start date as possible. When the date approaches, both you and the parent will receive reminders about the tutoring you have organised, and you can get in touch and organise a proper date for your first lesson there!
