Written by Daphne Lim - Updated
KIS Academics has a probationary tier, and 3 tiers of private tutoring services. Tutors of all tiers are expected to conduct the 30 minute free study skills consultation for all students.
Allocation of tutors to these tiers is solely at the discretion of KIS Academics. Allocation is based on a few factors. To find out how to move between tiers, please read this article.

Why does KIS take a Higher Commission as Tutors upgrade Tiers?
Higher commissions relate to the cost of marketing and advertising these positions. ie. Platinum tutors are charged a higher commission than Gold due to increased marketing requirements for more expensive tutors.
This is due to a supply/demand relationship caused by the pricing; Gold tutors receive the vast majority of requests while Platinum tutors receive a smaller amount. However, the platinum tutoring requests are significantly higher paying.
Disclaimer
KIS Academics reserves the right to allocate tutors to one of the private tutoring tiers, change the private tutoring tier of a tutor and modify tutor listings and student-facing profiles at the full discretion of KIS Academics Administration staff. Tutors may request promotions to higher tutoring levels at any time, however there is no guarantee of this.
