How does KIS chase up payments?
Written by Daphne Lim - Updated
It happens in the background, it happens everyday, but how does it actually happen? It all starts here, with the creation of an invoice, and then the invoice being marked as 'Open' or 'Pending'...
Fun facts:
- 99.99% of all invoices created on the KIS App have been paid
- Payment typically occurs within 1 week of the lesson being logged on the KIS App
- You have a 2 x lesson payment guarantee if you follow the rules!
So how does KIS chase up payments?
|
Day 0 We send an SMS + Email with the invoice link and a friendly payment reminder |
|
Days 1, 2, 4, 6 (After invoice is created on KIS App) We send an Email with the invoice link and a friendly payment reminder |
|
Day 8, 13, 20, (After invoice is created on KIS App) - Invoice is marked as overdue - We send a warning about the invoice approaching the late fee threshold via SMS + Email |
|
Day 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, (After invoice is created on KIS App) - Invoice is marked as overdue - We send a warning about the invoice approaching the late fee threshold via SMS + Email |
|
After 32 days overdue We can choose to pursue payment using a debt chasing legal entity, otherwise we will keep calling and messaging the customer |
It's only happened a few times, but once an invoice reaches 60 days since creation, we will automatically pay the tutor the amount that's owed in accordance with our 2 x lesson payment guarantee.
