What subjects should I tutor?

Written by Daphne Lim - Updated

Tutor subjects that:

  • You're good at (if you scored top 10% in that subject), and put that in your tutor profile bio!
  • You are happy to tutor, because if you list a subject on your profile, you MUST be happy to tutor it when a request comes through.

In general, the more subjects you choose, the more tutoring requests you'll get, and the bigger they'll be (parents and students like tutors who can teach multiple subjects).

Please note that if you are tutoring English, you are required to teach all texts, even if you didn't study it in high school.

What happens if I get a request for a subject I am Unable to tutor?

Please follow the steps in this article to find a replacement for the student: What if I can't take on a new student request?

If the request was made because you had that subject listed on your profile and had just forgotten to update your profile, you may incur a demerit point. This will be up to the discretion of the KIS Admin team.

So, please keep your KIS App Profile updated at all times!

Are there any resources to help me?
