Why haven't I received my payment yet?

Okay calm down and don't hurt anybody!

99.99% (literally, I’m not exaggerating here) of the time there’s nothing wrong, but there could be a few reasons:

  1. You sent an invoice and it hasn't been paid yet. Navigate to the student job and check the status of the payment. Not sure how to do that? Check out this article: What do all the Pending, Open, Paid, Processing, Retrying and Failed payment status labels mean in the KIS App?

If the status says "pending" or “failed,” don’t stress - the KIS Admin team will be chasing the payment up. For more information: Do I need to Chase up Late Payments or Payments that Fail?

  2. Your charge failed. The customer might have forgotten to top up their card and the charge should be labelled as "failed." The KIS Admin team will be chasing this up too!

  3. Your payment is in escrow. This means that you've been paid by the student but the money is still being transferred between Stripe to your bank. Be patient because sometimes a transfer to your bank can take a few days to process as banks are slow to accept payments. If you want to check if this is the case, you can take a look at your KIS App balance and payouts

Your payment make take some time to get to you, but it will be paid. If you have any other questions, feel free to shoot a message into #help channel on Slack, or send an email to contact@kisacademics.com
