What if a student can't make it to their small group class?

In cases where student(s) inform you of their absence in advance, the best thing to do is discuss it in the group chat you have with the students! You should ideally try to find out what the group is happy to do.
In general, we recommend taking the following steps:
- Postpone or move the class time to try to find an alternative time that works for everyone. This will ensure that all students are up to date and can do the lesson together
-
Skip the class. If the students are happy to miss a week at the risk of falling behind their schedules, then you can always skip the class and resume the following week!
-
Do the lesson with a lower number of students. This should only be done as a last resort as students will then be progressing at slightly different speeds, and the students who attend have to pay a higher fee. So please ONLY do this if the other students are aware and agreeable to the higher fees.
If you do this, please email contact@kisacademics.com to organise a payment for the class as your payment amounts in the KIS App will be pre-configured to classes where the entire group is present.
What if they did not turn up without notice/ cancelled less than an hour before scheduled time?
Just like with private tutoring, if a student cancels a lesson 1 hour before the discussed start time, or just didn't show up for a scheduled class, they have to pay the lesson fee in full, as per our cancellation policy.
