Can I charge a Cancellation Fee for Group Tutoring?

Yes, you can. The KIS Academics cancellation policy and 2 lesson guarantee also applies to group tutoring.ย If a student, or both students, fail to turn up to a lesson or cancel a class less than an hour before the scheduled lesson, you are eligible for a cancellation charge.ย
How do I charge a cancellation fee for Group Tutoring?
Instead of submitting a cancellation charge as you would for a private student, please:
- Screenshot and email the required evidence to contact@kisacademics.com
- We will reply you and let you know the next steps. If we approve of your cancellation, then go on to step 3
- Submit a charge as per usual for the student(s) who did not turn up for class
This is because a normal cancellation charge automatically sends the student an invoice at the private tutoring rate, but your group student is paying less than that. Thus, you have to send them a charge as per usual if we approve of your cancellation.ย
These terms are communicated clearly to the student when they first sign up for a group tutoring class and are in our Terms of Service which all students agree to. If your customers have any further questions, ask them to reach out to our help team via our contact details.
If you have more questions, feel free to send a message to #help channel on Slack, or send us an email (contact@kisacademics.com).ย
