The MOST IMPORTANT thing to do as a KIS tutor...
Written by Daphne Lim - Updated
Communicate.
That's it.
Throughout the tens of thousands of lessons that KIS tutors have run, we've almost never received a complaint about teaching skills. But here are some of the complaints that we've commonly received, and the reasons we've had to suspend tutors from the KIS platform in the past:
- Not responding to text messages from customers
- Not responding to text messages from the KIS Team
- Not responding to Slack messages
- Being late to lessons with a customer
- Frequently moving lesson times with a customer
- Moving lesson times last minute
If you do something like this once or twice, you won't be penalised, but repeat offenders will be removed from the KIS Platform as per the Suspension Policy, as well as the Tutor Performance Policy
So, just make sure to be professional and communicate with both the KIS Team and customers.
